Field trip to Pulau Tiga

On February 28th NZMATES and PLN arranged a visit to a potential PLTS refurbishment site with delegates from EBTKE, BAPPENAS and New Zealand Ambassador Dr. Jonathan Austin. During the joint visit delegates visited the PLTS site and village, and met with community representatives.

The PLTS on Pulau Tiga was installed in 2012 and provided 24-hour electricity for the community for almost five years. It stopped working in 2017, and NZMATES has been working with PLN on designing a solution to refurbish the system and bring 24-hour renewable energy back to the community.
