Workshop on introduction to renewable energy – solar power plant

Keith Scoles, Engineering Manager of Infratec Ltd., held a training workshop for students of Ambon State Polytechnic’s Electrical and Mechanical Engineering programmes on July 18, 2019. The students were introduced to key concepts and principles behind solar technology and mini-grids, and some key factors influencing the design and sustainability of systems. The students then had the opportunity to practice some applications on the Polytechnic’s solar training equipment.

This training was the first in what is hoped to be a fruitful collaboration between NZMATES and Ambon State Polytechnic to strengthen renewable energy capacities in Maluku, now and into the future.
